Author, photo stylist, interior designer and entrepreneur Sharne Algotsson began her training in 1985 in Stockholm, Sweden, where she rose to the positions of head decorator, visual merchandising manager, and set designer for the international IKEA catalog.

In 1995 Sharne established Inside Design Ltd., her Philadelphia based firm that specializes in interior design for private residences; as well as commercial set design and photography for catalog, editorial and direct mail advertising. Ross Simon, Royal Worcester China, Tufenkian Carpets and The Greater Philadelphia Tourism and Marketing Corporation are among her clients.

Sharne has been featured on television shows such as The Home and Garden Network and B. Smith With Style; in magazines including Metropolitan Home, Southern Living and Elle Décor. Sharne has lectured at The Cooper Hewitt Museum and other distinguished institutions. She has also penned 3 books on design: African Style; Down To The Details; and her most recent: City Living, Creative Ideas For The New Urban Home.

In 2003, Sharne and Lisa Formica, her friend and fellow visionary, opened Twist in Philadelphia. It has become one of the city's most popular shopping destinations and sources of inspiration.
